The
lesser worm belongs to a minor branch of the dragon family. They are
effectively winged serpents and, although vicious and aggressive, are
not especially intelligent. Because of this, the lesser worms, although
still called dragons, are not considered especially dangerous.
Many an errant
knight has searched out one of these creatures and, after dispatching
them bravely (no doubt), claimed victory over a terrible dragon. In
truth, they are no more than fairly dangerous wild beasts.
Lesser worms grow
to about fifteen feet in length (head to
tail) and they stand around eight feet tall when attacking, as shown
above.
