Fauns or goat~men

A slightly built human from the waist up with a goats legs and hooves from the waist down, they often have short horns and a pointed goatee beard. Fauns live in wooded country and are quite numerous on Athon.

Fauns are not especially clever or war-like but more generally good-natured and friendly. They are well versed in wood lore and claim many friends amongst the Dryads, with whom they have dances and mysterious ceremonies at various times of the year.
