Fungles

"Fungles are a tribe of short, cute, cuddly and furry little people. They favour underground dwellings (which are rarely more than a few feet below ground) that are a bit like badgers sets or rabbit warrens dug out of dry earth or in sandy banks. They stand about two feet tall and are friendly and companionable. Fungles are, in fact, rather like rabbits themselves.”
