Pixies These are little people, generally around fifteen to eighteen inches tall, which are often mistaken for fairies. They are, however, a race of people who are just rather small. Apart from their diminutive stature the only other distinguishing features of pixies are their pointed ears and the reddish tint to their skin. Pixies often where green jackets and red, pointed, caps, this is why some folk call them redcaps. Pixies live in a tribal society, usually in woody, forested country. They are quite sophisticated; use tiny weapons and tools and so on. Pixies are not especially good or evil but tend to hide from the ‘big people’ for obvious reasons. Apart from their pointed ears pixies are the same shape and proportions as normal men and women, just a lot smaller. In some areas they are called Brownies.
