This city in the Empire of Sanskra was the site of a famous battle between the war-like people of that country and the elves of Nintar Forest.

A dwarvish kingdom to the south, the king is called Harld. Shanar is hidden in the folds of the great mountains and lies on the edge of the Forest of Tirrell. The kingdom is so well hidden in fact that many who seek it never find this secret country. There is a magnificent castle and a deep, mysterious lake, beyond that little is known of the legendary Shanar. It is the Thirteenth House of the Dwarves.
