| PRINCIPALITY OF PELLIN |
Ruled by Prince Minloth, this
country is occupied by horsemen who migrate back and forth across the
Northern plain following the good grazing for their herds of horses. |
| TRISTON GORGE |
This steep ravine was the site
of a famous battle north of Puggor. |
NORTHERN PLAIN |
This is a large plain to the
north of Puggor it is principally occupied by the men of Pellin and
their herds of horses. There are colonies of the dangerous plains apes
to be found there in the more remote areas. |
THE GREAT SINK |
This large, marshy depression
with a small lake at its centre lies to the south of Pellin. It is a
damp and unpleasant place and on the shore of the lake is a settlement
called Raz Tark. |
RAZ TARK |
Bandits and outlaws occupy this
small shantytown in the Great Sink. None of the buildings are permanent,
being mostly tents or wooden huts, and the number of occupants varies
considerably from time to time. |
KINGDOM OF PUGGOR |
A dwarvish kingdom made up of
the Bledin, Tharhold and Gothar Holds. |
THARHOLD |
A dwarvish hold in Puggor,
famed for its engineers and siege engines, Tharhold is the 7th
House of the Dwarves. |
BLEDIN |
This is the principle hold and capital of the dwarvish kingdom of Puggor and is occupied by the Third House of the Dwarves. Named after the ancient king, Bledin the first (all kings of Puggor have since been called Bledin). It is one of the few dwarvish holds that can still be called prosperous, although not expanding it can still hold its own in position and influence. |
As one might expect, the Dwarves of Bledin produce armour and weapons of high quality, as well as other metal and stone artifacts. There is usually a wagon or mule train of such merchandise leaving the underground city every week, heading for either North Redune or east to the coast where the goods are then transported by sea to Athon or Anguin. |

GOTHAR |
A dwarvish hold in Puggor, famed for its iron mines
and foundries. Gothar is the 12th House of the Dwarves. |
MALTRAY |
A
poor village in North Redune, Maltray is famous only for being raided
regularly by the brigands who have their refuge in nearby Raz Tark. This
may be the reason for their poverty! |
NARB END |
It is a common sight, on the road to the north of the river, to see men and women of Narb End begging travelers and merchants to: “Just step onto our fine ferry and come sup some ale in Narb End.” Generally, unless the traveler is an innocent or generous, he will continue on his way to much better villages and inns further along the way. |
