Role Playing Portal

Welcome to the Role Playing Portal, this entrance leads to an entire Fantasy world for your free RPG use. As a role-playing resource the Enchanted Kingdom is not system specific. This means is can be used for any role playing system, including Dungeons and Dragons, Chivalry and Sorcery, Runequest and many more.

The Enchanted Kingdom has it's roots in a world designed for the medieval fantasy Role Playing Game C&S, later it was published by Dreamworlds, in part as the 'Northern Realms.' Now it has become something much bigger! See for yourself by taking a grand tour via the map room.

The Enchanted Kingdom is described in over 120 very high quality, detailed maps. On each of these places like cities and towns are named and described, including over a hundred Countries, Kingdoms, Empires, Caliphates, Principalities, Dukedoms, Counties, and territories. All of the maps can be accessed from the surrounding or adjacent maps or from above as you zoom down from a magic carpet's eye view (from the Map Room).

There are also fantasy stories in the library and pictures and illustrations in the galleries, which may be of interest for creating atmosphere and setting the scene in your games. The scale of the maps is about ten miles to one inch, however this varies depending on the view you have, so a better guide might be to say that from top to bottom of one of the detailed maps is around 50 miles, or two days march if on foot!  

Once you have visited a particular map it will be stored in your temporary internet files which means if you visit a few maps first and then go back you will find you an flick between them very quickly. In this way a gamesmaster can lead a group of players around the maps, either with them seeing them or not!
